As a part of my new focus into theology, I wanted to have a Bible to serve as daily driver to take notes in. I also wanted to have some study notes to have on hand without having to take out my larger full version study Bible. So I looked into getting the ESV Journaling Study Bible from Crossway. I actually have one already that I purchased at the end of 2023 to go along with a year-long Bible study that I had planned on completing. I started that study and took notes in that Bible but quit a couple of months in and I wanted to “start fresh” so I decided to save that Bible to go along with that study and to use for other specific Bible studies in the future.

The study notes are adapted from the ESV Student Study Bible so they are not as robust as the ESV Study Bible however, they still provide great insight and study aids such as maps, charts, diagrams, articles, and much more. There are also 2-inch lined margins on every page for journaling or note-taking.

As of this posting, there are 5 standard cover options and 3 Artist Series covers (Note: 1 of the 3 artist editions launches on November 21).
